What are the club rules?
Following these simple house rules will make your training experience far more pleasant and effective for everyone.
• Arrive on time for your class.
• Present your payment and name to the club secretary before class.
• Do not wear jewellery of any kind on the mat during class. This includes earrings, necklaces, rings, toe rings, watches, etc.
• No smoking is allowed anywhere in the school. (We also appreciate it if you didn't smoke outside of the school, either.)
• You should address your fellow students and instructors with the appropriate title followed by their name.
Instructors – Sensei Students of higher grade – Sempai Students of lower grade – Budoka.
Example’s Sensei Darryl, Sempai Elaine, Sempai Simon
• Students should bow as and when required.
• Junior students must ask permission of sensei before leaving the training area for any reason including toilet and drinks breaks. Senior students should just bow when leaving the mat quietly.
• Students will be given one warning each time a rule is broken or the students conduct is out of order or disruptive. When three warnings have been issued in one lesson to an individual student, that student may be expelled from the club.
